17-year-old Yvette Bauer from Ithaca High School
won Best of Show for her acrylic painting of a pair of
Wood Ducks. Yvette’s entry competed with all fifty
state winners across the nation for the title of Best
of Show in the Federal Junior Duck Stamp
Conservation and Design Contest on April 22, 2009 at
the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in
Washington, D.C. In the National Contest, Yvette
received honorable mention.
