Buy-a-Brick Friends of Necedah National Wildlife Refuge Capital Campaign
Are you looking for a special way to recognize a loved one, relative, friend or special time? Put it in writing with the Friends of Necedah National Wildlife Refuge's Buy-a-Brick program. A $100 or more contribution to the Buy-a-Brick program entitles you to inscribe a brick that will become part of the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center Entrance and Patio area overlooking the marsh at the Refuge's new visitor center (projected opening Fall 2010) at Necedah, Wisconsin.

provide opportunities for all its members to help out
throughout the year. Read on to see how you can
get involved and make a difference on the Refuge.

2008 Wisconsin Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest

Samuel Schroeder from Holmen, Wisconsin won
Best of Show in the 2008 Wisconsin Junior Duck
Stamp Contest. Schroeder's watercolor painting
of two Northern Pintails is currently on display in
a traveling exhibit (52 KB). Schroeder along with
all first, second and third place winners from the
2008 contest is featured in a 2009 Wisconsin
Junior Duck Stamp Calendar that will become
available for purchase in the Friends Bookstore
by November 2008.

Wild Berry Bash 2008
A beautiful day on July 12, 2008 was had by all who attended the annual Wild Berry Bash at the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. From 10:00am to 2:00pm visitors took part in a variety of activities such as berry walks, presentations about wild berries, children crafts and games, and a pie-eating contest.

The Friends of Necedah National Wildlife
Refgue is a volunteer-based organization.
There are volunteer opportunities available
from teaching in the outdoors, assisting in
construction, fund-raising and serving on
committees.
